The general agency agreement was developed for the provision of selected agency services over a period of time in a given area or territory. It is designed to be used in all trades and can be tailored to the individual needs of the parties. This contract was published in December 2017 and is the last edition. The copyright of the agreement on the General Agency is on the part of FONASBA. The publishers are BIMCO and FONASBA. BIMCO`s documentation committee met in Copenhagen on 10 May and approved the publication of three standard innovation agreements for timely charter parties and shipbuilding contracts. FONASBA International Brokers Commission Contract Standard Agreement between the ship and the shipowner are used for payment of the commission. Recommended by BIMCO. The summary of regular agency services is a guidance document designed to help officers and contractors agree on the services the agent will provide for the port agency`s normal fee in order to avoid future litigation. This document lists the services that an officer would normally provide, although there are of course opportunities to modify them if necessary. The summary contains links to the Agency`s designation and general agency agreements and supports them by sharing the same areas of activity and using general terminology. Launched in January 2017, FONASBA`s appointment form for FONASBA BIMCO is a new document designed to formalize the designation of a ship agent for a single port or a relatively short series of calls to a limited number of ports. The form is suitable for use in all trades, including bulk products (dry and liquid), sheaths, project and short sea shipping.
